Everything customers need before and after purchase.
The FAQ covers product type, device compatibility, activation, routing, top-up, troubleshooting and refund logic.
What does Linko sell? / Linko主要卖什么?
Travel eSIM mobile-data products: product display, sale, digital delivery, installation guidance, top-up on eligible profiles, and after-sales support. Unless the product says otherwise, plans are data-only.
What is an eSIM?
A digital SIM profile installed on a compatible phone. No physical SIM card needs to be shipped.
Can I keep my physical SIM?
Usually yes, if your device supports eSIM/dual-SIM use. You can keep your normal SIM and use the Linko eSIM for travel data.
Does it include a phone number, calls or SMS?
Unless explicitly stated on the product page, no. The default Linko product is data-only.
Which iPhones work?
Many overseas eSIM-capable iPhones work, but the exact sales-region version matters. Many mainland-China iPhone versions do not expose the same consumer eSIM functionality, so check Settings for “Add eSIM/Add Cellular Plan” before buying.
Does my phone need to be unlocked?
Yes. A carrier-locked device may reject another provider's eSIM even if the hardware supports eSIM.
When does validity start?
It depends on the SKU. Many travel plans start on first connection to a supported network, but the exact activation rule must be shown on the product page/order.
What is Total Data?
One total allowance for the validity period, such as 10GB/30 days.
What is a Daily plan / Day Pass?
A daily high-speed allowance such as 1GB/Day. After the high-speed quota, the product may continue at reduced speed under its FUP. The site does not describe this as unrestricted full-speed unlimited data.
Can Day Pass be topped up?
Do not assume so. The current product rule treats Day Pass separately and expects the customer to choose the required number of days when ordering.
Can total-data plans be topped up?
Selected profiles are reloadable. Keep the original eSIM installed; the add-on is applied to that profile when eligible.
Should I delete the eSIM when data is used up?
No. If the profile supports top-up, deleting it can remove the profile you need to recharge.
Can I scan the same QR again?
Do not repeatedly scan. Some eSIM profiles have one-time or limited installation attempts.
Can I scan a QR displayed on the same phone?
Not with the phone's camera. Use another screen/device for the QR, or use the manual installation details when available.
Do I need data roaming?
Many travel eSIMs require roaming to be enabled on the travel line. Follow the specific product instructions.
Can I use hotspot?
Hotspot is supported only where the plan/product marks it as available. Check before buying.
What does non-HK IP mean?
Some China products use a non-Hong-Kong exit route. The exact exit location, app accessibility and network behavior are product-specific and should be shown for the exact SKU rather than promised generically.
Will every app work in China?
Do not assume every app/site works on every route. App accessibility depends on the exact product routing, local network conditions and destination rules.
What if the eSIM installs but has no internet?
Check coverage location, selected mobile-data line, roaming, APN instructions, line switching and local carrier signal. Contact support before deleting the eSIM.
What information should I send support?
Order number, phone model, OS version, approximate location/city, eSIM settings/status, error message and relevant screenshots. Unnecessary personal data should not be requested.
When is a refund usually possible?
Examples include duplicate charge, wrong product delivered, undelivered product, or a verified product failure not caused by device incompatibility/user operation. See the Refund Policy.
When is a no-cause refund usually not available?
After valid installation information is delivered, the QR is scanned, the eSIM is installed/activated, data is used, or the issue is caused by incompatible/locked devices, wrong destination, deletion, repeated scanning or other user-side actions—subject to applicable law and actual fault.
How is a refund assessed?
Support records the state: not generated; generated not delivered; delivered not scanned; scanned not activated; activated unused; used. The remedy may be cancellation, replacement, partial refund or full refund.
